1 Nature of B.A.R.F. Raw Pet Food

K9GourmetBB products consist of raw, minimally processed animal proteins, organs, raw meaty bones, and whole-food supplements. As with all raw animal products intended for human or animal consumption, these products may naturally contain bacteria including but not limited to Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, E. coli, and Campylobacter.

These organisms are part of the natural environment in which animals live and are processed. A biologically healthy pet digestive system is specifically adapted to manage these organisms. However, K9GourmetBB makes no representation that its products are free of pathogens, and customers assume all risk associated with feeding B.A.R.F. raw food to their animals.

2 Customer Handling Responsibilities

By purchasing K9GourmetBB products, you agree to:

• Keep all products frozen until 24–48 hours before intended use. Thaw in the refrigerator only — never at room temperature or in standing water.
• Use within 3–4 days of thawing. Discard any product that has been thawed for longer than this period.
• Practise food-safe hygiene — wash hands, bowls, utensils, and surfaces with hot soapy water after every contact with raw product.
• Keep raw food separate from human food at all times. Do not use the same cutting boards or utensils without sanitising between uses.
• Do not feed raw food to immunocompromised pets, very young neonates, or animals under active antibiotic treatment without explicit veterinary guidance.
• Supervise feeding, particularly with raw meaty bones, to reduce choking or obstruction risk.
• Store out of reach of children. Raw pet food should be treated with the same caution as raw meat intended for human consumption.

3 Not a Substitute for Veterinary Advice

K9GourmetBB is a B.A.R.F. raw pet food producer — not a veterinary practice, animal health clinic, or licensed nutritionist. No content on our website, meal planners, guides, chatbot, social media channels, or communications from K9GourmetBB staff constitutes veterinary or medical advice.

Meal plans, portion guides, and ingredient recommendations provided through our tools are general guides based on species-appropriate B.A.R.F. raw feeding principles. They are not tailored to any individual animal's clinical needs and should not replace professional veterinary assessment for animals with:

• Chronic kidney disease, liver disease, or pancreatitis
• Cancer or active infection
• Known food allergies or intolerances
• Post-surgical recovery or immunosuppression
• Pregnancy or nursing
• Age-related conditions in senior animals

Always consult your veterinarian before making significant dietary changes to your pet's routine.

4 No Guarantee of Health Outcomes

K9GourmetBB does not guarantee any specific health outcomes, weight changes, coat improvements, energy levels, or disease prevention as a result of feeding our products. Individual results vary based on the animal's genetics, age, health status, activity level, and overall care.

5 Dietary Transition Disclaimer

Transitioning a pet from processed kibble or cooked food to a B.A.R.F. raw food diet is a significant dietary change. It is normal and expected for animals to experience a transition period of 1–3 weeks that may include:

• Loose stools, constipation, or changes in stool frequency and consistency
• Temporary digestive upset or gas
• Reduced appetite or heightened appetite
• Increased thirst (normal as moisture content of food increases)
• Mild detox symptoms including mucus in stool

These symptoms are typically temporary. However, if symptoms are severe, prolonged beyond 3 weeks, or accompanied by vomiting blood, extreme lethargy, or refusal to eat for more than 48 hours, discontinue feeding and consult a veterinarian immediately. K9GourmetBB is not liable for health complications arising from dietary transitions.

6 Delivery & Temperature Liability

K9GourmetBB takes all reasonable precautions to ensure products are packaged frozen and insulated for delivery within the Toronto GTA service area. However, once products leave our facility and are handed to delivery personnel or left at a customer's address:

• K9GourmetBB is not responsible for product temperature or condition if the customer is not present to receive the delivery and the product is left unattended for an unreasonable period.
• K9GourmetBB is not responsible for delivery delays caused by weather, traffic, third-party courier issues, or incorrect address information provided by the customer.
• Customers are responsible for inspecting their order upon receipt. Any concerns must be reported within 24 hours of delivery to k9gourmetltd@gmail.com.

7 Allergy & Sensitivity Disclaimer

Our products are prepared in a facility that handles a wide variety of proteins including beef, pork, poultry, fish, rabbit, venison, and game meats. While we take precautions to prevent cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that any product is entirely free from trace amounts of other proteins.

Customers with animals with known protein sensitivities or allergies are responsible for reviewing ingredient lists carefully and consulting their veterinarian before ordering. K9GourmetBB is not liable for allergic reactions resulting from ingredients that were disclosed on the product label or website.

8 Raw Meaty Bones & Choking Risk

Some K9GourmetBB products and custom bowl options include raw meaty bones (RMBs), which are an integral part of the B.A.R.F. methodology. Raw bones, when appropriate to the animal's size and chewing style, are generally considered safe. However:

• Never feed cooked bones — cooking makes bones brittle and prone to splintering. This disclaimer covers only raw bones supplied by K9GourmetBB.
• Always supervise your pet when feeding any bone product.
• Match bone size to your pet's size and strength. Do not feed large weight-bearing bones to small dogs.
• Remove and discard any bone that has been chewed to a size small enough to be swallowed whole.
• K9GourmetBB is not liable for dental fractures, choking, obstruction, or gastrointestinal injury arising from bone consumption when proper supervision guidelines are not followed.

9 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, K9Gourmet Ltd. (operating as K9GourmetBB), its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• The purchase, handling, storage, or feeding of any K9GourmetBB product
• Illness, injury, or death of any animal or person resulting from improper handling or storage of raw food products
• Reliance on any nutritional information, meal plan, or feeding guide provided by K9GourmetBB
• Delivery delays, temperature excursions, or product condition upon arrival
• Allergic reactions to disclosed ingredients

Our total liability in any circumstance shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

10 Governing Law

This disclaimer and any disputes arising from it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any legal proceedings shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Ontario.

If any provision of this disclaimer is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

11 AAFCO Nutritional Adequacy Statement

K9GourmetBB products are formulated according to Biologically Appropriate B.A.R.F. Raw Food (B.A.R.F.) principles, which are based on a species-appropriate whole-food diet of raw muscle meat, organ meat, raw meaty bones, and whole-food supplements.

K9GourmetBB products have not been independently tested or certified against the nutritional profiles established by the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) or the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) nutrient standards for complete and balanced pet food.

Accordingly, K9GourmetBB does not represent its products as "complete and balanced" within the meaning of AAFCO or CFIA definitions. Our meal plans and subscriptions are intended as a primary B.A.R.F. raw diet guided by established whole-prey feeding ratios; however, customers should be aware that:

• AAFCO nutrient profiles were developed primarily in the context of processed, cooked pet food and may not accurately reflect the bioavailability of nutrients in a raw, minimally processed format.
• Individual animal nutritional needs vary by age, breed, health status, and activity level. K9GourmetBB meal plans are general guides, not clinically tailored formulations.
• Customers feeding K9GourmetBB products as a sole diet are encouraged to schedule a veterinary nutritional consultation at least annually to confirm their pet's nutritional status through blood panels and physical assessment.
• If your pet has been diagnosed with a condition requiring a prescription diet (e.g., renal disease, hepatic disease, urinary oxalate stones), consult your veterinarian before using K9GourmetBB products as a primary food source.

K9GourmetBB is not liable for nutritional deficiencies that arise from long-term exclusive feeding without veterinary oversight, or from improper rotation of proteins and ingredients as guided by B.A.R.F. methodology.
