K9Gourmet Ltd. was founded by Leon Holness after losing his beloved Doberman Pinscher, Giovani, to Chronic Heart Failure. That loss sparked a lifelong mission: to make biologically appropriate, fresh whole-food nutrition accessible to every GTA pet owner.

Over the past 100 years, pets have been fed high-carbohydrate, low-moisture diets that have become the root cause of degenerative diseases now plaguing our pet population. For 99.99% of history, dogs and cats consumed a natural species-appropriate diet. We're restoring that.

We DO NOT believe in blended raw — a true BARF diet forces animals to chew and handle their food, providing a full and complete eating experience. Whether working in the fields or going on a daily walk — everything starts with the right diet.

As CEO of K9Gourmet Ltd., I am thrilled to lead the charge in providing premium, nutritious, and delicious food for our furry friends. What began as a mission in memory of my Doberman, Giovani — and became a passion project feeding our Golden Doodle, Benzy — has grown into a small but dedicated team of raw-feeding advocates — and we are just getting started. We use only the highest quality natural ingredients and constantly research new ways to improve our products and nutrition.

K9Gourmet Ltd. is intentionally small. Small-batch isn't a marketing term for us — it's the only way we can guarantee the quality we stand behind. We are growing — one household at a time.
